1. What I’m inspired by: The story of this remarkable woman who amongst other feats, successfully managed the project financing of the 18-storey Elephant House on Broad Street Lagos in her 20’s. She got fed up of the degenerating educational standards and set up Atlantic Hall School, then created the AART of Life foundation, putting up a traffic light in the very spot where she tragically lost her daughter in a car accident. Talk about being the change you want to see.
   
   Since 2002 when I came across her daughter’s obituary in the Dailies, I have followed Chief Taiwo Taiwo ‘ amazing entrepreneurial and dogged life story via interviews and articles. Now she’s given us a whole book; the autobiography, “My Mother’s Daughter”. We should read that book!
2. What I’m reading: The very disheartening recently published 2021 Chandler Good Government Index Report where Nigeria ranked 102 out of 104 countries beating just Venezuela and Zimbabwe!

3. What I’m excited about: The resolution of the “Back to Work” saga. As life returns to neo-normalcy, employers are faced with the challenge of getting employees back into buildings with some issuing “stern warnings” and threatening pay cuts. Lol. 4. What I did: Opened up my home for the first time in years to friends and family to celebrate my birthday. It felt great! Me to you: Don’t wait for any special year to celebrate. Every birthday is a milestone birthday. Afterall, this year’s all you’ve got — till the next.
5. What’s up: It’s been exactly a year since we lost Dan Foster to the pandemic. As a radio lover growing up on his voice, it was personal. Everyone who knew me waited for how I would express this loss. It came in this soft, beautiful journey of memories. See for yourself here:
