1. What I’m inspired by: The indefatigable Nigerian Spirit! I join all Nigerians, home and abroad to congratulate and celebrate Tunde Onakoya for breaking the Guinness World Records for the longest chess marathon at >58 hours. In the lyrics of Fireboy DML x Asake’ Bandana: “Dem never see us comin’…” What a joy!

2. What I’m reading: “Ghana Must Go. A Bag with Baggage.” This article explores the historical, socioeconomic, and cultural context of what I now realise is a world-famous bag and pattern design. Despite being a domestic staple, I still had a lot of “really?” moments. Here: https://lnkd.in/e3RU7uVx

3. What I’m excited about: A future of possibilities, enabled by a dawning sense of clarity and focus. #Grateful

4. What I did: Finished off a series! No, not Netflix. For the past eight weeks, I have facilitated the Faith Driven Entrepreneur series, titled #CalledToCreate, with a small group of entrepreneurs and business leaders, #TrailBlazers at The Elevation Church #London. One hour every Thursday turned out to be immensely inspiring and enlightening as we delved into the stories of organisations that have designed their enterprises for profit AND impact.

Needless to say, as an MSc student of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, it felt like an extension of case studies from class — and more. I laughed, I cried, I nodded, and I pumped my fist! We are currently on a break but will begin another series soon. It takes place online, so if you want to participate (or need a facilitator for your group), send me a message. Thanks to Faith Driven Entrepreneur for such rich resources and, of course, Olatunji Iyiola and John Ajah for the opportunity. Here’s the first of the 8-part video series here: https://lnkd.in/en3MvH3q Chinny Ugoji Henry Kaestner Oyebolaji Fadase Denise Johnson Tolu Onasanya Kome Jones Olusola Olukoshi

5. What’s up: The number of women having children in their 40s, 50s and 60s. This story by the BBC News probes the reasons why women are having babies increasingly later in life: economic, career, or social? Watch “The Rise of Older Mums” here: https://lnkd.in/e3Y5egts

Enjoy!

Every Friday-ish, I do a quick round up of 5 things; What I’m Inspired by, What I’m Reading, What I’m Excited About, What I Did and What’s Up! These are my takes on 5 significant, sublime and sometimes silly stuff! Follow me on Medium so you don’t miss this! Feedback’s great so don’t forget to clap, like, comment and share with others. Again…enjoy! #5WhatsFridays
